Kenyan content creator Terence Creative has joined growing calls for action after viral videos surfaced showing Kenyan women being filmed by a foreign national in Nairobi.
The clips, which have circulated widely on TikTok and other platforms, have sparked national debate over privacy, consent, and the misuse of digital content.
Terence Creative Urges Authorities to Intervene
In a Facebook post dated February 13, 2026, Terence Creative called on authorities to investigate the matter and hold the individual accountable.
The man, who reportedly goes by the name “Russian Guy” online, is seen in the videos approaching women along Nairobi streets, striking up conversations, and later filming additional content in short-stay apartments.
In his strongly worded post, Terence wrote:
“This man must respect Kenyan women and their privacy, online DCI tuingie kazi huyu apatikane. We won’t keep quiet as our ladies get disrespected. Privacy is key and must be respected.”
His statement intensified public pressure on investigative agencies to take action.
Concerns Over Consent and Monetization
The viral videos have raised serious concerns among Kenyans, with many questioning whether the women featured were aware that the footage would be publicly shared or potentially monetized.
Social media users expressed alarm over the ethical implications of recording and distributing such content without clear consent.
Geoffrey Mosiria Reacts to Online Tagging
The issue also caught the attention of Geoffrey Mosiria, Nairobi County’s Chief Officer for Customer Care, after numerous users tagged him in posts demanding intervention.
Reacting to the flood of notifications, Mosiria wrote:
“Ni story gani hii mnashinda mkinitag ya the Russian?”
His response reflected surprise at the volume of complaints and the growing public outcry surrounding the matter.
Claims of Advanced Recording Technology
As the controversy escalated, some social media users speculated about the technology allegedly used to record the videos discreetly.
Darius Mokaya warned that the man could be using advanced recording spectacles capable of capturing high-quality footage without attracting attention.
“Be alert, please. There is this Russian guy going round recording women using his upgraded spectacles technology. Just because he is a mzungu, they fall for it and go wherever he takes the videos. Even married women are at risk,” Mokaya cautioned.
Growing Debate on Privacy and Public Safety
The unfolding situation has triggered broader discussions about digital privacy, public safety, and accountability in Kenya’s online space.
Many citizens are now urging law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly while emphasizing the need for stronger awareness around consent and the responsible use of recording devices.
