Cassie Ventura Seeks Dismissal of Edmond Laurent’s Lawsuit Over Alleged “Freak-Off” Incidents

American singer and dancer Cassie Ventura has strongly denied allegations made by former model Edmond Laurent, who claims that she and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs drugged him during alleged “freak-off” encounters.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Ventura has formally asked the court to dismiss Laurent’s lawsuit, arguing that his claims are false, defamatory, and unsupported by credible evidence. The singer maintains that the lawsuit lacks legal merit and should not proceed.

In her filing, Ventura points to previous communications in which Laurent allegedly expressed sympathy and support for her after she publicly accused Combs of abuse in 2023. She argues that his position changed significantly after she reached a $20 million settlement with Combs in a separate legal dispute.

Ventura’s legal team claims that Laurent’s allegations emerged only after the high-profile settlement, raising questions about the timing and motivation behind the lawsuit.

Laurent, a former model known for appearing in music videos alongside artists such as Britney Spears and Lil’ Kim, accuses Ventura and Combs of sexual assault. He further alleges that he was drugged with substances including Rohypnol and ketamine during the alleged encounters.

However, Ventura firmly rejects these accusations. In her court response, she argues that evidence from the period in question indicates that she herself was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and was not acting freely or voluntarily. Her attorneys contend that the available facts undermine Laurent’s narrative and support her request for the case to be dismissed.

The legal battle adds another layer to the growing number of lawsuits and allegations surrounding Sean Combs, who continues to face intense legal scrutiny. While Laurent seeks damages for the alleged incidents, Ventura insists that she was also a victim of abuse and coercive behavior during her relationship with Combs.

The court has not yet ruled on Ventura’s motion to dismiss, and the case remains ongoing.
