Hilda Baci Quietly Achieves a Third Guinness World Record

Hilda Baci, Nigeria’s most recognized chef, synonymous with culinary ambition and national pride, has once again made an achievement by securing another Guinness World Record, taking her total to three official titles.

The latest recognition comes from a monumental cookout held on September 12, 2025, in Victoria Island, Lagos, where Hilda and her team prepared an astonishing 8,780 kilograms of rice.

The event was initially certified as the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. Months later, Guinness World Records confirmed that the same effort also qualified as the largest serving of rice overall, placing it in a separate global category and earning Hilda an additional record from the same achievement.

The confirmation arrived in January 2026 through an official message from Guinness World Records, informing her that the attempt met the criteria for both records. Surprised by the news, Hilda shared her excitement on social media.

The achievement represents a positive impact for Nigerian cuisine on the global stage. The massive pot of rice, was enough to feed thousands and required weeks of planning, coordination, and teamwork.

Hilda openly credited her collaborators and partners, stressing that the record was a collective victory and not a solo triumph.

This latest milestone builds on her earlier success in May 2023, when she completed a marathon cooking session that drew international attention and made her a household name. The 2025 jollof rice cookout became her second record, and with this new recognition, she now stands among Nigeria’s most decorated Guinness World Record holders.
