Mihlali Ndamase No means no ; The influencer speaks out against harrasment

Mihlali Ndamase has issued a statement saying she is concerned for her life and the well-being of her family.

Mihlali says she’s being harassed by a man whom she previously rejected advances from, but instead of accepting it, he is now following her.

“I have personally witnessed him following me. He has appeared at my place of work without reason and shown up in spaces where I am parked or seated as though monitoring my movements. My privacy has been repeatedly violated. Members of my family have been approached in public and people have been paid to follow me and take photographs of me without my consent,” she writes in a statement posted on social media.

She recently launched a luxury boutique called Treasury, located in the richest square mile in Africa, Sandton. However, Mihlali has been trending yet again for different reasons. Several blogs have alleged that she is suing a hotel for photographing her with a married man. She has dismissed these claims as untrue.

“At the same time, false and damaging stories about my life have been circulated through blogs and online platforms. Some media publications repeated these allegations without verification. This has caused significant reputational harm and further endangered my safety by presenting fiction as fact.”

She says she is now seeking legal counsel.

Irresponsible use of AI

Not so long ago, Mihlali took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and told the artificial intelligence (AI) bot that she doesn’t consent to her images being edited. This follows after many social users would use the tool to edit her images, such as removing or adding clothes on her, changing her hair colour, etc.
