American singer and television personality Ray J has reignited the long-running controversy surrounding the infamous sex tape involving him and Kim Kardashian, accusing the reality TV star and her mother, Kris Jenner, of lying about their involvement in the tape’s release.
The explosive accusations have resurfaced as a legal dispute continues between the parties over allegations of defamation and breach of a prior agreement connected to the tape.
Ray J Says the Family “Lied About Everything”
In a recent interview, Ray J claimed that Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner falsely denied having any role in the release of the tape. According to him, their public statements and legal declarations contradict what he says actually happened behind the scenes.
Ray J alleges that discussions about the tape took place during a meeting involving Kardashian, Jenner, and executives from Vivid Entertainment, the company that eventually distributed the footage.
However, Vivid Entertainment has historically maintained that it received the tape from a third party and not directly from the individuals involved.
Allegations of Multiple Recordings
Ray J also claimed that three different tapes were part of the deal. According to his account, two were recorded in Cabo San Lucas and another was filmed in Santa Barbara.
He alleges that both he and Kardashian received around $400,000 each as part of the agreement related to the tape’s release.
Ray J further claimed that during discussions about the Santa Barbara recording, suggestions were allegedly made to make the footage “more explicit.” Kardashian and Jenner have previously denied orchestrating the release of the tape.
Legal Battle Intensifies
The controversy has resurfaced amid an ongoing legal fight. In October, Kardashian and Jenner reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J, accusing him of making false statements regarding their involvement.
Ray J responded by filing a countersuit, claiming the family violated a settlement agreement that prohibited all parties from publicly discussing the tape.
The case has once again drawn public attention to the scandal, which first emerged in the mid-2000s and played a significant role in Kardashian’s early rise to global fame.
Ray J Says the Situation Affects His Family
Ray J also spoke about the personal impact of the controversy, explaining that he worries about how the narrative surrounding the tape could affect his children.
The singer said he wants to clear his name so that his son and daughter do not grow up believing he intentionally harmed someone or was responsible for revenge pornography.
He insists that the version of events that has circulated for years is inaccurate and says he plans to continue defending himself.
Support From His Mother
Ray J has also received public support from his mother, Sonja Norwood, who recently defended her son on social media.
Norwood questioned the claims that Kardashian and Jenner had no involvement in the tape’s release, asking who would be responsible if they truly had nothing to do with it.
Her comments have added further attention to the already high-profile dispute.
A Controversy That Won’t Disappear
Nearly two decades after the tape first surfaced, the scandal continues to generate headlines and spark debate online. With legal proceedings still ongoing and both sides firmly standing by their claims, the long-running controversy appears far from being resolved.
