In the past few hours, a 30-year-old man was arrested in Argentina on accusations of leading a digital sexual exploitation network operating under the name « Argentina Casting ». The suspect, Gianfranco Gaspar Núñez, originally from Rosario, has been placed in pretrial detention by order of the federal justice system.
The investigation, carried out by the Federal Department of Investigations (DFI) of the Argentine Federal Police, successfully dismantled a criminal structure that recruited young women and minors with promises of money and fame.
How the Network Operated
Núñez presented himself as an audiovisual producer, offering cash payments in exchange for filming sexual content. He assured victims that the material would only be sold abroad, claiming this would protect their identity within Argentina.
However, investigators found that the videos were subsequently shared across digital platforms and closed online groups without the women’s consent, while the accused collected profits from their distribution.
According to Argentina’s Ministry of National Security, the suspect followed a consistent pattern: he would deceive, film, and never pay — a scheme built on recruitment, breach of trust, and exploitation.
The Operation: « Casting para Preso »
The law enforcement operation, named « Casting para Preso » (« Casting for a Prisoner »), was carried out simultaneously in Rosario, Buenos Aires, and Misiones. During the searches, investigators uncovered more than 150 videos connected to the scheme.
The Ministry of Security emphasised that this case is part of a broader series of actions aimed at combating cybercrime and exploitation in digital environments.
What Happens Next
Núñez remains in pretrial detention, charged with human trafficking and digital sexual exploitation. Authorities are continuing to collect evidence and testimonies in order to identify additional victims and determine whether other individuals were involved in the organisation.
The Ministry of Security reminded the public that cases of trafficking or exploitation can be reported anonymously by calling line 145, available 24 hours a day across Argentina.
