An alleged Instagram conversation showing actress Jyoti Saxena asking a student for money in exchange for a nµde video call has spread rapidly across social media. She has since deleted her Instagram account and issued a formal legal notice, insisting her account was compromised for over two months.
Actress Jyoti Saxena has landed at the centre of a social media storm after alleged private Instagram screenshots went viral, purportedly showing her requesting payment to conduct a nµde video call. The controversy prompted the complete deletion of her Instagram account and a swift public statement in which she denied any personal involvement.
What the Viral Chat Shows
According to the screenshots circulating widely online, the exchange took place via Instagram direct messages. In the alleged conversation, Jyoti Saxena initially quoted Rs. 20,000 for the call. When the other user — who identified himself as a student — said he could not afford that amount, she reportedly agreed to a reduced rate of Rs. 8,000.
The screenshots spread rapidly across Twitter/X, WhatsApp groups, and entertainment forums before going fully mainstream. Shortly after, her Instagram account was taken offline entirely.
Jyoti Saxena’s Official Statement
Moving quickly to address the situation, Jyoti turned to Facebook to publish what she described as a formal legal notice, categorically denying any involvement and claiming her account had been accessed without authorisation for approximately two months.
Her statement read in part: « An unidentified individual has gained unauthorized access to my Instagram account for the last 2 months and is actively misusing my identity, images, and personal brand to spread false and defamatory information. This act constitutes a serious offense under cyber laws, including identity theft, impersonation, and defamation. Our legal team has already initiated strict action against the individuals involved. »
She also warned the public and media professionals against engaging with any communications linked to the compromised account, adding that anyone found sharing or amplifying the alleged content would face legal consequences.
Celebrity Instagram Hacking: A Growing Problem
This is far from the first time an Indian entertainment figure has had their account hijacked for reputational damage or financial scams. Several Bollywood celebrities have faced similar incidents in recent years, from fraudulent giveaway posts to impersonation scams targeting fans.
For public figures, the damage is often immediate and severe — a viral screenshot can destroy a reputation within hours, long before any investigation can establish the facts.
