Scandal in Italy: An F1 Driver Involved in a Prostitution Network

Authorities in Milan have launched a major investigation into an alleged high-end prostitution ring reportedly involving celebrities, prominent businessmen, several Serie A footballers, and even a Formula 1 driver.

The case is being coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Bruna Albertini, with investigations carried out by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Milan. The development was first reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, one of Italy’s leading sports newspapers.

A Multi-Million-Euro Operation

According to investigators, the network generated more than €1.2 million in revenue, highlighting the scale and sophistication of the operation. Despite the prominence of the alleged clientele, a Milan judge has ordered that the names of individuals who may have used the services remain undisclosed in official documents.

Reports suggest that several Serie A players are among those linked to the case, along with a Formula 1 driver. The latter was reportedly mentioned during a recorded phone conversation, in which a suspect allegedly said: “A friend of mine, a Formula 1 driver, is coming to Milan tonight and he wants a girl.”

However, authorities have not confirmed whether the driver is currently active in the sport or when the events in question took place, leaving the individual’s identity unknown.

Parties, Luxury Services and “Laughing Gas”

The investigation also revealed that the network organized exclusive parties and nightlife experiences. These events reportedly included the use of nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas,” a substance that is difficult to detect in later tests and not associated with performance enhancement.

Clients were allegedly offered premium “packages,” which could include a night at a nightclub, accommodation in a luxury hotel, and the company of an escort, particularly after football matches or high-profile events.

Exploitation and Money Laundering Charges

For now, charges have been brought against the alleged organizers of the network. They are accused of facilitating and exploiting prostitution, as well as laundering money obtained through illegal activities.

Investigators say the women involved were not only professional luxury escorts but also young individuals drawn in by promises of social advancement and financial gain. At least ten women, both Italian and foreign nationals aged between 18 and 30, are believed to have participated, receiving around 50% of the earnings.

International Reach

The organization’s headquarters was reportedly based in Cinisello Balsamo, near Milan, but its activities extended beyond Italy. Services were also offered in high-end tourist destinations such as Mykonos, Greece, suggesting an international dimension to the operation.

As the investigation continues, authorities are working to uncover the full extent of the network and determine whether additional high-profile figures were involved.
