Ghana: Teacher Caught in the Act Having Sex with a Student at Bole Senior High School (video)

A viral video circulating on social media has plunged Bole Senior High School (Bole SHS) into controversy. A science teacher at the school is accused of engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a final-year student inside one of the school’s science laboratories. School authorities have immediately launched an investigation.

Facts According to Available Sources

According to several Ghanaian media outlets (Adom Online, MyJoyOnline, GhanaWeb), a blurry video showing a man wearing a blue shirt and a young woman in school uniform, in what appears to be a science laboratory setting, spread rapidly online on June 15, 2026. The teacher, identified in some reports as a science tutor (sometimes referred to informally as Mr. Arafat in social media posts), was allegedly filmed in a compromising situation with the student.

The student involved is reportedly in her final year and had only two exams left before completing her secondary education. The video, described as “blurry” by observers, has sparked widespread outrage within the school community and locally.

Bole SHS authorities responded swiftly: an internal investigation committee was formed, and a meeting with the teacher was scheduled as early as June 15, 2026. The Ghana Education Service (GES) is closely monitoring the case in line with its strict guidelines on professional ethics and student protection.

Context and Precedents

This incident is not isolated in Ghana. Over the past few years, several cases of harassment or inappropriate relationships between teachers and students have come to light, often amplified by social media:

In October 2025, a science teacher at Okajakrom Senior High Technical School (OKASHTECH) was suspended after a viral video showed him having sex with a student.

Previous cases at Bole SHS itself (including an arrest in 2022) and in other institutions highlight the recurring nature of the problem.

These scandals raise broader questions about supervision in boarding schools and secondary institutions, adherence to ethical standards by teaching staff, and the role of parents and society in protecting minors and young adults in education.
