Sex Scandal in the Iraqi Oil Sector: New revelations emerged about the Shocking Sextape of Iyad Hussein Al-Jawhar and Lina Raad Mohsen

New revelations have emerged regarding the explicit video that has sparked widespread outrage across Iraq. Employees of the Oil Projects Company at the Ministry of Oil have come forward with details about the scandal involving former senior officials.

According to statements made Tuesday to the Iraq Observer, the incident captured in the immoral video is not recent. It dates back several months and involves Iyad Hussein Al-Jawhar (also referred to as Iyad al-Johar or Iyad Johar), the former Director of the Northern Oil Projects Authority in Kirkuk, and Lina Raad Mohsen, the former Director of the Financial Department at the same authority.

Cover-Up and Internal Handling

Sources within the company revealed that the matter was quietly handled internally at the time. Following the initial leak of the unethical video among employees, Iyad Al-Jawhar was forced to resign and was subsequently placed into retirement. Lina Raad Mohsen was transferred to another oil company as part of the effort to contain the situation.

Employees emphasized that the video has no connection whatsoever with the current Director General of the Oil Projects Company, Ali Ward Hamoud (Ali Al-Ward). They noted that staff members can clearly distinguish between the two individuals and expressed surprise at the renewed circulation of the old footage.

Suspected Motives Behind the Leak

The employees described the recent leak as a deliberate attempt to distract and mislead public opinion. They believe it aims to divert attention from ongoing anti-corruption efforts within the Ministry of Oil, particularly the high-profile case involving the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Adnan al-Jumaili.

Public Reaction

Despite the incident being older, the video — which appears to have been filmed in an official office under the Iraqi flag — has gone massively viral, triggering strong public condemnation. Many Iraqis are demanding that those involved be brought before the courts for committing immoral acts inside a government building.

The scandal has reignited debates about ethics, accountability, and corruption in Iraq’s vital oil sector. The mocking nickname “white oil extraction” continues to trend on social media as a symbol of elite misconduct at the expense of the Iraqi people.

This latest development adds new layers to the story: while the authorities appear to have addressed the issue discreetly months ago through retirement and transfer, the resurfacing of the video has thrust the matter back into the spotlight and raised fresh questions about transparency and the handling of such cases within public institutions.
